Just a thought. Shall we use this blog to collect the data we are seeking?
First of all, should we ask ourselves what we think the ultimate questions are?

Are Engineering Librarians, Information and Knowledge Managers educators; regardless of the environment they work in (industry vs. academia).

If there are, what are the issues that prevent them from being/becoming educators or else from doing it well?
In general, what are the issues/challenges, Engineering Librarians, Information and Knowledge Managers are facing?

I agree that the blog is a good place to start the discussion. I think the workshop should focus on librarians and their relationship with industry / academia rather than being a discussion amongst librarians.
