Secretary needed for 2010
The position of ACCESS Secretary falls vacant at the end of 2009.
So we need a volunteer to fill the role.
The duties are not onerous at all, and it's very flexible in how tasks are divided between the President (Jocelyne Poirier) and the Secretary. Primarily it involves some organisation of the meetings (usually four or maybe five a year), and taking minutes.
Please consider it - it's a worthwhile thing to do... any questions, please contact Jocelyne Poirier at jpkcsolutions@gmail.com or Dianne Miers at dnmiers@wbmpl.com.au

ACCESS Meeting 21 October 2009
The next ACCESS meeting will take place next Wednesday 21 October, 12 noon - 2 pm.

If you're coming from Southbank, the Kurilpa Bridge will take you to Turbot St. Turn Right (pass the Courts in Santos Place).

This meeting is self-catering, so remember to bring your lunch !!

ACCESS Meeting, Thursday 20 August 2009
The next ACCESS meeting will be held at QUT Gardens Point Campus, Room V713 (7th Floor) , V Block (the Library) on Thursday 20 August 2009.
The meeting will start at 12 noon, and finish at 1.45pm.
The speaker will be Martin Borchert, Associate Director Library Services (Information Resources and Research Support Services) at QUT.
Martin will be sharing some insights on decision making and information resources. He will be focusing on information resources and research support; and hopefully will clarify some of the issues and trends that we face in relation to information resources (ebooks, databases, search engines...), research support (document delivery, collaborative technologies, publishing...).

It's bring your own lunch... so come prepared !!

Venue needed for next ACCESS meeting
Venue needed for next ACCESS meeting in late July/early August. One possibility is a meeting room in premises in Park Road, Milton, but it would be appreciated if anyone could offer an alternative. Attendees could provide their own lunch, so no catering costs would be involved for the host.
